Plyometrics
The term plyometrics is overrated. It is best described as a stretch shortnening cycle that occurs within soft tissues (muscles). Walking is a stretch shortening cycle as is jogging, running, jumping, leaping, bounding, etc... If you are following me, plyometrics have been around since man has figured out how to move his body in different ways.
Is this a magical training program? NO!
Do the masses of people fall victim to nonsense "strength & conditioning specialists" because of this? Yes!
The time for education is now and I have no qualms with exploiting the dirt in todays fitness industry. I am going to go walk upstairs (plyometrics) and take a nice ice bath. Those of you that own Volume I know the shear benefits of that.
