Plyometrics

The term plyometrics is overrated. It is best described as a stretch shortnening cycle that occurs within soft tissues (muscles). Walking is a stretch shortening cycle as is jogging, running, jumping, leaping, bounding, etc... If you are following me, plyometrics have been around since man has figured out how to move his body in different ways.

Is this a magical training program? NO!
Do the masses of people fall victim to nonsense "strength & conditioning specialists" because of this? Yes!

The time for education is now and I have no qualms with exploiting the dirt in todays fitness industry. I am going to go walk upstairs (plyometrics) and take a nice ice bath. Those of you that own Volume I know the shear benefits of that.

Core Strength

This seems to be the new "wave" of human exercise. I am enthused anytime something gets people up off their couches and into something physical. But honestly folks, what good is core strength if it isn't functional?

What good is a corvette engine in a pinto?
Why have 44" tires on a motorcycle?

I'll tell you why, because it doesn't make sense. Physical training applications must be engineered to make sense. The same way you hire an architect to draw up the plans to build the home of your dreams.

Would you have the town handyman draw up your plans?

I am sure he might be able to build a house but certainly not one that would stand the test of time. Physical training is no different and there are a lot of handymen out there. When it comes down to it, you have to hire the right person for the job.

Lastly, since we are talking about your body, you should know it is the most important investment in your life. Why would you waste your time with anything but the best for yourself? My home page

What it takes

I have the opportunity to work with young adults every single day. One of the most misunderstood facets of conversation is what it takes to make it to your apex. In the interest of brevity, I am going to present it for you.

1) Establish realistic short term goals that you CAN reach with effort.
2) Continue to establish short term goals and keep reaching them with persistance.
3) Make positive concious choices that will allow you to keep progressing.

I continue to acheive great things because of my effort based mentality. I do not believe in doing anything unless it is "all the way". Surely anything less than my all is a complete waste of time, in my estimation.

No matter what your goal is, you need to plan, persist, and make the necessary sacrifices to place yourself in the acheivement seat. Basketball Strength Volume I is a complete guide to acheiving beyond what you know.

Almost all motivational tools since the Great Depression revolve around the teachings of Napolean Hill. My product expands his teachings and applies modern day levels of higher education. Volume I will be around forever because I took the time to develop it for the human race. I do not believe man/woman should be a product of their genetics/environment, etc...

I know that man/woman is a product of their own organized planning, desire, and willingness to persist to acheive. Take control of your life and make moves to succeed now.

Mighty Atom

One of the most influencial people to ever live was Joseph "Mighty Atom" Greenstein. The mans life was a true testament to overcoming opposition and reaching potential. While his life has been over for some years now, his memory remains.

In terms of developing the human body, Joseph was far ahead of his time. Mighty Atom was doing things was back when that people today still ignore due to ignorance. He didn't have the luxuries of todays's fitness scene yet he acheived incredible results.

When it came down to human nutrition, he simplified the approach;

1) When you're hungry, eat (whole foods).
2) When you're thirsty drink (water).
3) When you're tired rest.

Common sense isn't so common.

Old School

There was a Hall of Fame College Basketball Coach that said, "The only conditioning basketball players need is playing basketball". This did hold truth until the game changed in the realm of physicality.

Today's game has players bigger, faster, and more powerful than ever. While basketball skills development is the primary factor, physical conditioning must be supplemented.

It's not enough to be a good basketball player unless your durable.

Paradise

You know what paradise is because I do. Paradise is when you know you can do anything you want with your body. When you understand the human body, you can improve it. I dedicate my life to the pursuit of excellence in all matters.
